Inside Casa Tanglewood

Casa Tanglewood is a tropical residence situated on over 2 acres (10117.141 m2) of tropical landscape. Featuring Spanish colonial revival architecture, including high gloss Mexican Saltillo floor tiles, natural stone details and warm earth tones throughout, Casa Tanglewood is a welcoming 3400 sq ft (315.870336 m2) ocean view retreat. 

Recessed lighting with dimmer control allows you to set the mood, as does the built-in sound system with speakers in the main indoor and outdoor social areas.

Enter the fully air conditioned residence through the foyer leading into the main living area with high ceilings, cream alcoves and expansive semi circular arcades. Comfortable sofas lined with neutral toned cushions complete the ocean facing indoor living area.

A fully equipped solid ash wood kitchen includes a stainless steel double door fridge, gas range, microwave dishwasher and wine cooler. A private court yard, perfect to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, leads just off the kitchen. A granite top breakfast bar looks onto the well lit dining area with seating for six people. For convenience a fully equipped laundry room with washer and dryer is located adjacent. 

Downstairs sleeping quarters

The principal suite is located on the main floor. Warm clay tiles, a king sized bed and a quaint multiple alcove unit gives this bedroom plenty of colonial charm. The en-suite bathroom has a large corner tub lined with candles, perfect for relaxing after a day out and about in Dominical.

A small bedroom on the first floor has twin beds and access to the swimming pool and outdoor social area.
A large jade toned tiled bathroom with walk in shower is also located on the main floor with access to the outside social area and swimming pool.

Upstairs sleeping quarters

The queen suite is located on the second floor and has a large private ocean facing balcony and en-suite bathroom with spacious sunlight yellow tiled step in shower.

Outside social area

Double patio doors open from the dining room to the outdoor social area with ocean facing large infinity swimming pool, cooling stone decking, neatly landscaped garden and rustic thatched palapa under which sits a dining table for eight people.  With the light terracotta exterior walls of the residence as a backdrop, this area offers an expansive view of the coast stretching to the northern horizon.

An expansive rooftop sun deck allows for uninterrupted 360-degree views of the South Pacific landscape during the day, and as night falls, a spectacular starry sky. 

Guest home

An additional guest home of 1100 sq ft (102 m2) is located within estate grounds with two bedrooms and two bathrooms with natural stone clad showers and interior design consistent to that of the main residence with subtle golden hued stucco details, mosaic and warm clay floor tiles.  Surrounded by tropical vegetation and offering great ocean views the first floor of the guest home functions as a large social area.

The second floor is accessed via an external staircase. It includes the kitchen, covered terrace and master bedroom with king bed and en-suite bathroom. A queen hide bed and single hide bed ensures that five people can be comfortably accommodated in the guest home.

Grocery service
We ask that our guests complete a grocery and beverage request form so that we can stock the kitchen ready for your arrival.  The grocery service is available upon request at extra charge.   

Complete Spa
Be pampered in paradise! Casa Tanglewood and Spa Uno offers a package which includes an 80 minute relaxing massage, chocolate mint foot scrub and exfoliation, banana glistening hair wrap and scalp massage and 60 minutes yoga flow session.  These relaxing treatments are available in the comfort of the Tanglewood estate or you can visit Spa Uno.
